Simply Red and Navy Nails

Still looking for the perfect mani for this Holiday season? Here I present the most simple manicure that can make you look glamorous in this festive season! Simply using red and navy nail polishes. These two colors are very edgy. Navy, give you dark and edgy look but still glam and also red gives your look a statement. Playing with colors is fun, you can just mix and match them but remember the rules. Less is more. Always. Too much is never so good.
Anyway, lets jump to the how I make this two colors rocks.

First, pick your perfect navy nail polish color.
Paint two or three coats of navy nail polish. Make sure the colors pop.
Isn't it pretty!!! I really love this color! *eeekk
Last but not least! add some sprinkle of glitter.
Here I am using red glitter by e.l.f. You can get the shade in e.l.f everyday color nail polish cube set.
Hope you guys love the color combination as I do.
and a little tips from me.. "Less is more". Sometimes simple things are the prettiest.

White and Gold Winter Nails

It's Holiday Season! A year has almost passed. Mid December and the weather is chill. So I think this is the perfect mani for the week. White and Gold winter nails.
I wanted to make it sparkly and festive since the Christmas is in a few days ahead, so I add some dash of gold for the design. It is actually perfect if you are looking for Christmas Nails.
Here I am using elf nail polish in white-beige color. It's not too whitey but slightly beige. It actually has almost the same tone color with gold and give the warmth feeling when you see it.

Paint two coats of beige color nail polish.
1. Grab your gold nail polish and a toothpick. Start drawing cross on your nails.
2. Draw another cross on the previous cross. So it has star or snowflakes shape.
3. You can add another mini gold snowflakes on other area.
4. Draw some gold snowflakes on your other nails in different sizes.

Last but not least, get your chunky gold glitter and add some sparkle on your snowflakes!
Here I am using chunky gold glitter by elf. It's available on e.l.f everyday use nail polish set.
Here the closer look of the final design.

Hope you guys have a wonderful holiday!

Dreamcatcher Nails

Hello there! Today I would like to share my latest nails. the dream catcher nails! I am so in love with this design. I should post it last week and I am sorry for the late post.
Dream catcher is a handmade object based on a willow hoop, on which is woven a loose net or web. The dreamcatcher is then decorated with sacred items such as feathers and beads and we used it nowadays as jewellery and accessory.
They said that the dreamcatchers would filter out all bad dreams and only allow good thoughts to enter our mind. Once the sun rises, all bad dreams just disappear. The feathers placed at the bottom of the dreamcatcher also had meaning. It meant breath, or air, it is essential for life.
So, based on that, I made this dreamcatcher nails!

First up! base coat, then paint your nails with mint-green and white. Like the pic below.

I pick mint-green and white for the base.
Then here are the steps of making dreamcatcher.

1. Draw half moon line.
2. Add a triangle shape and keep continue the triangle until the circle is full. Just think about "pizza"!
3. Then connect the edge of the "pizza" with the edge of your nails.
4. Draw three straight line.
5. You're done for the hard part! yay!
6. Add small dots on the straight line using nail dotting tools. Here I am using pink for the beads.
7. Add another beads using white polish surrounding the "pizza".
8. Oh so pretty.. <3

For the other nails, I just draw some feathers. Its so hard actually, took so long to make those feathers. But I am satisfied. Just need a little imagination and be patient. :D or you can paint other nails plain. Its up to you.
So, hope you guys like my post. ta ta!

Red Velvet Nails (Flocking Powder)

Velvet is a fabric materials that is very unique, soft and warm. And for this fall season, I made a red velvet nails. It is very unique and different and the texture is so funny. It's also called the flocking powder.
Its actually made of tiny fiber. You can get this velvet on cosmetics store or at the mall. For sure, you can get it at nail saloon. They sell this pretty cheap. I got mine Rp 20.000,- for a small cup. And on ebay its about $1.58. But its enough for 3-5 times manicure, also it comes with so many colors. You can mix and match them too.
Well, I am going to show you guys how I made my velvet nails.

Start of with base coat.
Paint one coat of nail color. Try to pick an almost similar color to the velvet that you are going to use. Here I am using Revlon Nail Enamel in Vixen. The color is a bit like oxblood.
1. Apply the second coat of your nail color.
2. Get your tweezers and pick an amount of the flocking powder/velvet.
3. Drop them onto your wet nails. You need to do it quick cause when the nail polish is getting dry, the fiber wont stick onto your nails perfectly.
Press down gently using your fingers. Until all the products stick perfectly.
Leave it for 3-5 minutes and you can brush the excess of the fiber off using make up brush.
and...
Voila!

P.S : A tips from me, don't forget to place a big paper under your work, so you can re-use the powder/velvet and less mess of course. ^^ Good luck on trying it! XO.

Go Green Nails (Fall Season Nails)

I am soooo obsessed with Green lately! Specially minty color. They are a fresh, earthy and calming. I love the green pop on my nails. It such a mood booster for your rainy days. I like the soft and pastel color these days.. So I tried this super easy design yet pretty and its perfect for fall season.
I used this green color. Its OPI in who the shrek are you from Shrek Forever After Collection. The actual color is a bit greenish than yellowish but I think it appears lighter due to the sun light. And for the glitter I am using gold glitter by unknown.

Two coats of OPI who the shrek are you and one coat of gold glitter.
Seal it off with top coat to add shine.

Ready for fall or for falling in love?
