Ice Cream Nails (Strawberry with Melted Chocolate Frosting and Sprinkles)

What a yummy title. well, thats because I paint my nails pink and make it looks like ice cream with melted chocolate frosting. Its almost summer and everyday weather turned to be so hot sometimes but still raining. Do you know what is best for a hot day? Ice cream! yay.. I like to buy some ice cream and stock it in my fridge so I can eat it anytime, but one thing for sure sometimes my ice cream disappear. I know why, because my dad and my sister likes ice cream too. lol
So, what you need for this design is a nail dotting tool. You dont have to be neat because when its messy, its still looks okay.

First, you want to paint your nails pink. Just choose any kind of pink you want, even you can choose another color like blue pastels or whatever you desire according to your favorite flavor. so, when you're done, just add some dots on the middle area (nail plate) and drag it to the free edge of your nails. and do that again in random sizes. Last, if you desire you can add some sprinkle with different color like white, yellow and green. And that's it. Your ice cream nails is ready and don't forget your top coat. :)

oh so yum..

Well, maybe I will add it to my "what to paint next" list. Okay, so, my current nails is cartoon nails! Inspired by animated picture. My bf is a huge fans of cartoons. He likes adventure times a looot. Check out my adventure time nails. :)
But the inspiration is coming from cutepolish! My favorite nail artist on youtube. you can check out her channel and watch the tutorial.
And this is the result of what I made.

not so neat but at least I nailed it! yay!
This is very easy to try and I only use nail dotting tools and a small nail art brush. Just a little imagination and Im sure you can create it.
Please post on the comment below if you have requests about what nail design that I should do next. Thank you! XoXo <3

Choosing the Best Nail Shape

When it comes to "my manicure" time, I always wonder, should I change my nail shapes? or re-shaping it? or totally just cut it off. Sometimes long nails is easier to be broken. So many questions I ask to myself before start to do the manicure or paint my nails.
Our nails are our best visiting card, therefore we must maintain them healthy and beautiful. However, it is not just the nail polish we use that makes the difference, but the shape of our nails too.
The other things is that I usually match my nails shape with the design that I am going to make. So its kind of confusing tho. But I rarely change my nails shape and it usually lasts for a long time until I get bored and change the shape again. Maybe just lil bit of re-shaping every week before I paint my nails again.
Long or short doesn't really matter, the thing is that we focus on the shape. Because if you have short nails, it will grow longer and the shape will remain the same. And I did some research and I came up with so many shapes that actually we can make and its still pretty and match any kind of nails design.
So, I am gonna show you some nail shape trends that you can try. Hopefully you can discover the special nail shape that flatters you and makes you feel better. Forget about who wears it, just choose whats best for you. My current nails is square (as you can see on my latest post Houndstooth Nails) and before the square I tried the mountain shape -the pointy one- but it seems failed and turned out to be almond shape.
Basically, there are four main types of nail shape, round, square, oval and pointed. Therefore, square nails look great on narrow, long fingers, while pointed nails flatter smaller hands and fingers. If you have short nails, opt for a round shape, while oval is universally flattering, but it mostly flatters wide, short fingers. If your nails have different shapes, square is the best. There is also another shape called squoval that works on short, wide fingers or big, long fingers. You should follow the natural line of your nails and keep them rather short, without edges if your hands and fingers are wider.
So, here is the pictures that I got from about nail shape. Please try and comment bellow what nail shape that you have now and what will you try later. Thank You.

Houndstooth Nails

Yes! Its Houndstooth Nails. Inspired by houndstooth pattern. And everyone is crazy about it.
According to the wikipediaHoundstooth, hounds tooth check or hound's tooth (and similar spellings), also known as dogstooth, dogtooth or dog's tooth, is a duotone textile pattern characterized by broken checks or abstract four-pointed shapes, often in black and white, although other colours are used. A smaller scale version of the pattern can be referred to as puppytooth. (aww too cute..) Long time ago houndstooth was originally made on woven wool cloth and used by Scottish and they called it "The costume of Scotland"
Back in 1980's, designers like Chanel picked up houndstooth and put their own stamp on the fabric. Also other designers like Emporio Armani, Lous Vuitton and Moschino, they are all started using houndstooth too, which has subsequently made it to the shelves of non-haute stores. And now, not only famous designer use this pattern. You can find this in many stores like Topshop or Forever21. And why don't we make one based on nail polish. :p

I'm not that obsessed with this fashion trend, but I just think that it's gonna be cool if I make this as my nail design. :D lol okay, so in this post, I'm gonna show you how I did it and I hope you guys can try it too at home. I am sure that your friends is gonna freak out when they seeing your nails wearing this swag design.
And I am using Beautistyle and Revlon products. Same colors just like my last nail design, Chanel Nails.

Jump into the How I did it.
First thing first..

Paint your nails white.

Add some stripes. I suggest not too much stripes. Just 2 or 3 lines for each nails.

Draw another white stripes accross the black one.

Draw small tooth on each black square.

And finally, finish it with small line in every square. just two small diagonal stripes each.

TA DA....!
Good luck and try to be neat. Be patient and have fun!
